Modernizing the content management system - Appsfactory implements Sophora as the base of Deutschlandradio's new corporate website

Leipzig, 09 November 2022 - Appsfactory has implemented the new corporate website of the radio station Deutschlandradio based on Sophora, the content management system (CMS) of subshell GmbH.

About Sophora

Through the partnership with subshell, which has been in place since 2019, Appsfactory's experts were able to acquire both Sophora Certified Administrator (SOCAD) and Sophora Certified Architect (SOCAR) certificates. Thus, Deutschlandradio could be supported in the conception and implementation of the Sophora components.

"With the release of Deutschlandradio's new corporate page, based on Sophora, we were able to provide one of Germany's most important radio broadcasters with a customised publishing solution," explains Jan Nowak, VP Media & AI at Appsfactory. "As a leading full-service provider in the media sector, we were able to successfully support another public media institution in partnership with subshell," Nowak continues.

The CMS already forms the online infrastructure of media houses such as ARD, ZDF, NDR, WDR. Sophora is also the CMS of the tagesschau.de app - also developed by Appsfactory. The solution, which is specially designed to meet the needs of large media organisations, combines ease of use with performance, scalability and reliability. The content is made available responsively so that it is also displayed perfectly on mobile devices.
