Navigating Germany’s waterways has just become easier! When the Deutsche Motoryachtverband e.V. (DMYV) decided to replace their mobile experience, they wanted not just a facelift, but a complete turnaround. That’s where Appsfactory got on board – completing an architectural rebuild from the ground up to steer the DMYV app into more modern waters.
Our journey to success began with intensive strategy workshops to map out user needs. After, our design and engineering teams went to work and crafted a brand-new mobile ecosystem for the German skipper community. The app is built for life on and off the water: It includes not only a digital wallet for all boat-related documents and an electronic logbook, but also grants access to an academy and events hub and links to news and updates from the motorboat scene.
Tailored to the wants and needs of the boating community, the new DMYV app is the perfect companion for every voyage. And we are just at the beginning of our journey: Following the successful initial rollout earlier this year, new feature updates are scheduled to launch this autumn to give skippers more control over their data. Looking toward next year, the platform will expand even further into club-management functionality.
