With connections to five German stock exchanges and five asset classes, over 1,000,000 tradable instruments, real-time trading and intraday custody account management, the result is a regulatory-compliant, UX-optimised and barrier-free investment experience.

We worked with TARGOBANK to develop a shared product vision. In joint workshops, we systematically designed features tailored to the new target group and made them tangible. Joe Broker offers personalised knowledge content, integrated explanations and in-depth stock market knowledge.

 

 

 

Brand development and design system

Transforming a new brand into a digital product

We translated the brand into a digital product and brought it to life. Generous colour areas in natural tones, emotional imagery and hand-drawn illustrations give the app a special intimacy and clearly distinguish it from its mostly technical competitors. To achieve this, we developed a customised design system that allows all screens and user flows to be built consistently. Reusable components reduce development effort, strengthen the brand image and ensure intuitive user guidance.

This comprehensive effort was recognized with the German Design Award 2026.

Joe Broker wants to make getting started in stock trading as easy as possible. That's why excellent usability was a key focus. During the design phase, we created prototypes of all areas of the app and tested them with users. The close integration of design and research – supplemented by UX writing – makes it possible to create an optimal user experience even in the highly regulated banking environment. In addition, all requirements in accordance with WCAG AA and the Accessibility Enhancement Act were taken into account to make the app accessible to everyone.
