The relaunch of SÜDKURIER´s digital newspaper for iPhone and iPad as well as for Android smartphones and tablets was brought to the market last week and is available for download. One of the major goals of the relaunch was to optimize the performance through intelligent charging techniques. The smooth browsing of the ePaper on older Android tablets is also possible. The digital SÜDKURIER, optimized for the reading experience on mobile devices, provides the entire content of the print edition even in offline mode.
Already top informed at 2:00 a.m.
The relaunch of the digital SÜDKURIER took into account the comprehensive reader feedback. Now it convinces with its intuitive design and user-friendly features: SÜDKURIER users dispose of the current edition for iPhone and iPad on their mobile device already at 2 a.m. – automatically downloaded, so no further steps are necessary. On the home screen, chief editor Stefan Lutz welcomes his readers with a short message every morning and points to the highlights of the current edition.
Reading the newspaper in offline mode and in the dark
Once downloaded, all editions can also be read in offline mode. Users can browse the digital newspaper in the overall view or set particular pages to the user´s individually convenient size. Texts, images and graphics can optionally be enlarged and read in the dark thanks to the illuminated screen.
Convenient memory function and easy sharing of articles
Readers will have access to editions back to the year 2007 as well as to all brochures of the last 30 days. Data, such as the preferred local part, are to be entered in the new app only once, for the digital newspaper memorizes this information. It also regulates the memory space within the app, so that users don´t have to delete older editions from their device manually. Additionally, users can quickly and easily share a certain page section by zooming it in and sharing it. The app then captures and saves an image of the particular section so that it can be sent or printed.
APPSfactory wishes all users a lot of fun with the digital newspaper!
